The Blackbird

“Acrylic on paper”

Have just finished this painting of one of our village pubs. Painted from a photo I took recently, unusually there were no cars blocking the view.

  1. Another great painting Phil!
The perspective is spot on. The lettering on the sign above the door 'Blackbird' - that must have been hard to do.
    Over all...superb!

  5. Excellent work....are there enough pubs in your village for a series?

  6. This is so excellent!!! I love the signs and the silver and gold shadows. The chalk boards are, well, chalky - really cool. What a great subject!! If I had pubs here, they would definitely be irresistible to paint!
