Acrylic on mountboard.
First time I tried acrylic on mountboard, probably not the best surface to use but it worked in the end. The paint tends to skip quite a lot.
Gorgeous, Phil! Don't forget us on Sketching in Nature!
I agree with Cathy!Fantastic! Was the board too smooth? Must admit, I would never have known you had had any trouble. The flowers are great and the leaves and stems are wonderful.Stew (MAS).stewcrowther.wordpress.com_________________________
Phil, This is fabulous and I surely can't tell it was a difficult surface.Your art is always so luscious!xoxo
This is lovely ... you did a great job catching all the subtle color changes in the petals! nancy
The leaves seem like photographed, they're so perfect! The flowers contrast beautifully with the black background. And I love the little bumblebee who adds life and fantasy to the whole piece, it seems to come from the night towards the light and color!
Lovely life in this painting.
It's great! :)
Holy cow ! Amazing job....the bumble been definitely brings the eye thru the entire composition. Nice touch, and very well executed. YOu used light very well, too.
