Bumblebee and Rose

Acrylic on mountboard.

First time I tried acrylic on mountboard, probably not the best surface to use but it worked in the end. The paint tends to skip quite a lot.

  2. I agree with Cathy!
    Fantastic!
Was the board too smooth? Must admit, I would never have known you had had any trouble. The flowers are great and the leaves and stems are wonderful.

  3. Phil, This is fabulous and I surely can't tell it was a difficult surface.

Your art is always so luscious!

  5. The leaves seem like photographed, they're so perfect! The flowers contrast beautifully with the black background. And I love the little bumblebee who adds life and fantasy to the whole piece, it seems to come from the night towards the light and color!
