Puffins (Work in progress)

Started painting this about a year ago, discarded it a couple of times because it wasn’t working out. Picked it up again the other day and tried again , think its beginning to work! Still have a good way to go but am keen to finish it now.

Reference was from a brilliant photograph by a friend of mine, Dave Edmunds, who kindly allowed me to use it for reference.

  5. The background has a very strong presence especially the leftside it's taking the focal point away from your puffins the rock face is fantastic and looks touchable

    1. You are so right Mary, I was worried about the leftside, but was leaving it til I finished the birds and the cliffs and then will tone it down to suit, thanks for all the comments folks.
