Ballycotton Lighthouse from the Cow
Oil on canvas: 24”x18”
I painted this scene several years ago on a smaller scale and with acrylics. Always wanted to try with oils and palette knife, and this is the result.
This is the original version, about half the size, which do you prefer?
Phil, I'd have to say I prefer the first (your latest) version because the colors seems more varied and visually interesting. Beautiful scene!
ReplyDeletePhil: Both are nice, but I LOVE the latest version! Love the colors in the upper left corner and the rocks. Stormier weather there today I imagine!
ReplyDeleteMore strength in the latest version!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comments girls.
ReplyDeleteFor me the oil painting wins on every point.
ReplyDeleteThe newer one definitely.
